The Ghost At Your Door That Refuses To Enter

The Mind is the door through which your ghost (Ego) attempts to corrupt your soul. It stands at that door, never choosing to enter knowing fully well its best positioned right there to cause its damage in service to itself. Your fear of it coming in is enough for it.

But you don’t have to put up with this. This ghost has its limitations. You are limitless.

It would have you look at the trails of your life you have left behind and try to convince you that you are that trail. Of course this is foolishness, but believable foolishness.

The trail you have left behind in your travels through life is no different than the contrails left behind in the sky by a powerful jet. That’s all it is — a contrail. The jet still has the power to traverse the skies, to change direction, to reach new destinations. It can even reach new heights, after being brought down to the ground. That is the jet. It is not its contrails .

The wake of a speedboat is not the speedboat. It’s just the wake of the speedboat. That speedboat is not limited by the wake it has produced.

Neither are you limited by the trails you have left behind. They should not define you but it is the intention of your ego to have them do exactly that. And you should resist the temptation, with all you have.

Not by barring the door. Oh how that would please it. Now it would have your full attention, taking you from what really matters — your soul.

Because the one thing that it cannot corrupt is your soul. At your very core you are incorruptible. The ego, that frighteningly devious of ghosts, knows this. That is why it stands at your door, knowing that if it leaves that doorway — your mind — and enters any further it has lost its battle for control having invoked your fear sufficiently.

And this is where you win.

Sit still for 5 minutes. Divorce your mind from everything you know about yourself — your perceptions, your memories, your expectations. Empty your mind.

What did you experience?

Didn’t you experience peace?

Didn’t you experience a lightness of space?

Didn’t you experience love?

What else could it be but the experience of your incorruptible soul?

What happened to the ‘realities’ that your mind was so taken up with a few minutes ago? They went nowhere. But you went somewhere else.

You went to your soul. Your incorruptible soul. The ego knows this. This ghost who loves to keep us fearful, in constant fright knows this even more than you do.

It protects itself by staying where it knows it is best positioned to do its damage — your mind.

You must practice positioning yourself where you can live your best life — at your core. Acknowledge who is at your door, who is in your mind, but know it dares not come any further. If it does, its influence over you is destroyed.

Because it is powerless in the confines of your incorruptible soul. You are powerful and limitless right there.

That is how you unmask this ghost and maintain your power to be limitless. The one that would have you believe it is serving your best interests by keeping you fearful.

When all it is doing is keeping you away from the better part of you — your now. Not your past. Not even your expectations of your future. But your experience of your now.

You have no need to worry about who is at the door. You are not even interested. Neither are you fearful. It dares not come into your ‘now’ space — your incorruptible soul.
